God gave us Jesus.

WEEK ONE

The Angel and Mary

Luke 1:26-33, 38

God sends an angel to tell Mary that she will have God’s Son, Jesus.

WEEK TWO

Jesus Is Born

Luke 2:1-7

Mary and Joseph travel to Bethlehem, and baby Jesus is born.

WEEK THREE

The Shepherds

Luke 2:8-21

God sends angels to tell shepherds that Jesus has been born, and the shepherds run to see Him!

WEEK FOUR

Happy Birthday, Jesus!

Luke 1:26-33, 38; 2:1-21

Christmas is when we celebrate Jesus’ birthday and that God loves us so much He gave us Jesus.

WEEK FIVE

The Wise Men

Matthew 2:1-2, 9-11

Wise men follow a special star to Jesus so they can worship Him and give Him gifts.

MEMORY VERSE

“God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son.”

DO THIS:

MORNING TIME

When you go into your child’s room, cuddle them and say: “It’s Christmas time, [child’s name]! I’m so excited that it’s almost Jesus’ birthday!”

DRIVE TIME

While on the go, take turns telling each other happy news. It can be anything happy! Talk about how God sent an angel to tell Mary some VERY happy news. The angel told Mary she was going to have God’s Son, Jesus!

CUDDLE TIME

Cuddle with your child and pray: “God, we have so many fun Christmas traditions [Child’s name] and I love doing them all together! While we’re making fun memories this Christmas, help us remember that Jesus is the one we’re celebrating. Jesus is special, because Jesus is Your Son!”

BATH TIME

Add lots of bubble bath to bath time. Ask your child if they can cover their entire body with bubbles so they look like an angel. Say: “God sent an angel to tell Mary that she was going to have a baby. The baby was Jesus, God’s Son!”

Week 2 | 10 - 16 December

Jesus Is Born

Mary and Joseph travel to Bethlehem, and baby Jesus is born.

SCRIPTURE:

Luke 2:1-7

DO THIS  (DRIVE TIME):

While on the go, take turns making animal sounds and guessing the animal. Talk about how there were no rooms for Mary and Joseph when they got to Bethlehem so they had to stay in a stable where animals lived. And that stable was where baby Jesus was born!

Cuddle with your child and pray: “God, thank You for giving Jesus to every person in the whole, wide world! Help us get excited about Jesus so we can go and tell everyone, everywhere that You love them and You gave them Your Son, Jesus!”

Week 4 | 24 - 30 December

Happy Birthday, Jesus!

Christmas is when we celebrate Jesus’ birthday and that God loves us so much He gave us Jesus.

SCRIPTURE:

Luke 1:26-33, 38; 2:1-21

DO THIS (BATH TIME):

Since it’s Jesus’ birthday, let’s have a BIRTHDAY BATH this week! Decorate the bathroom with streamers, birthday banner, party hat, party horn...have fun with it! Make sure to sing “Happy Birthday” to Jesus while your child is in the tub. This will be one bath your child won’t forget!
