MEMORY VERSE
“God is with you wherever you go.”
Joshua 1:9 NLT
Start the morning by singing together, “God is with me when I wake, God is with me every day! When I play and when I go, God is with me — this I know!” Then ask your child, “Who is always with you?” and encourage them to shout, “God is always with me!”
While you’re in the car, play a game of “Where Is God?” Ask your child, “Is God with us in the car?” “Is God with us at preschool?” and “Is God with us at the shops?” Each time, let them answer, “YES!” Then say together, “God is with me wherever I go!”
At bedtime, grab a toy or doll and pretend it is Baby Moses. Remind your child that Baby Moses was very little, but God was with him and gave him people who loved and cared for him. Then ask, “Do you think God is with you too?” and encourage them to answer, “God is always with me!” Finish by praying, “Dear God, thank You for always being with us. Thank You for the people who love and care for us. Help us remember that You are with us wherever we go. We love You, God. Amen.”
During bath time, play a simple guessing game. Say, “Can you guess what I’m doing?” Then pretend to do different everyday activities, like eating, sleeping, playing, or getting dressed. After each one, say, “Is God with me when I’m doing this?” Let your child answer, “YES!” Finish by saying together, “God is always with me!”
