BIBLE STORY

Jesus Is Born

Luke 2:1-7

Mary and Joseph travel to Bethlehem, and baby Jesus is born.

MEMORY VERSE

“God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son.”

John 3:16, GNT

SAY THIS:

God gives you Jesus.

ENGAGE IN EVERYDAY MOMENTS TOGETHER:

MORNING TIME

When you go into your child’s room, cuddle them and say: “It’s Christmas time, [child’s name]! I love celebrating with you that Jesus was born!”

DRIVE TIME

While on the go, sing “Happy Birthday” to Jesus every time you see a candle Christmas decoration.

CUDDLE TIME

Cuddle with your child and pray: “God, thank You for a special time like Christmas to celebrate Jesus’ birthday. Every time we see lights and decorations or open a present or hear Christmas music, help [child’s name] and me remember that You gave us Jesus.”

BATH TIME

Add toy animals and plastic blocks to bath time. Help your child make a room for their animals. As you build and play with the animals together, talk about how Mary and Joseph had to stay in a room with animals because there were no other rooms.
