Ruth 1–2

Boaz takes care of Ruth and Naomi by giving them grain because they are family.

WEEK TWO

David and Jonathan

1 Samuel 18:1-4

Jonathan gives David his coat, sword, bow, and belt to show how thankful he is for their friendship.

WEEK THREE

Manna

Exodus 16

When Moses and God’s people, the Israelites, are hungry, God gives them bread every morning to eat.

WEEK FOUR

Elisha’s Room

2 Kings 4:8-17

A woman and her husband build a special room for Elisha to stay in when he visits.

MEMORY VERSE

“I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart.”

DO THIS:

MORNING TIME

When you go into your child’s room, say: “Good morning! I’m so glad God made you, and made you to do big things today.”

DRIVE TIME

While on the go, tell your child: “God made you to do big things.” (Name some things your child can do.)

CUDDLE TIME

Cuddle with your child and pray: “God, You made us to do big things for others. Help us to always remember that.”

BATH TIME

During bath time, say: “God has given us so many things to do. What are some ways we can help people? “

A Samaritan stops and helps a man who has been beaten and robbed, after two other men passed him by.

During bath time, add some toy friends for them to play with. Ask your child to name their toy friends. Talk about how Jesus wants to be our friend forever!
