John 4:7-9, John 4:39a, Matthew 22:37-40
Love people the way Jesus loves people.
“Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment.” Matthew 22:37-38, NIV
As your middle schooler starts their day, tell them something you love about them— something that is part of how God created them. (Avoid achievements and focus more on things like character and compassion.)
While on the go this week, ask: “What is the nicest thing you’ve seen someone do for someone else lately, either online or in-person?”
At a meal this week, ask everyone to answer: “Where have you seen God at work lately?”
Pray that both you and your middle schooler will find ways in your everyday life to show your love for God and the people God created, including you.
