APRIL 2023 - Overview
BIBLE STORY
Easter
Matthew 26:20-50; 27:1-2; 28:1-7; John 13:33; 14:1-3, 28
Some people hurt Jesus so badly that He died, but on the third day, Jesus comes back, just like He said He would.
MEMORY VERSE
“I am alive for ever and ever!”
Revelation 1:18, NIV
SAY THIS:
Jesus is alive.
ENGAGE IN EVERYDAY MOMENTS TOGETHER:
MORNING TIME
When you go into your child’s room, say: “Good morning, [child’s name]! I’m so glad Jesus wants to be our friend forever!”
DRIVE TIME
While on the go, look for Easter decorations. Bunnies, chicks, eggs, crosses, candy, flowers…all the things. Every time you see something, say, “Jesus is alive!”
CUDDLE TIME
Cuddle with your child and pray: “God, [name of child] and I want to celebrate Your Son, Jesus, because that’s what Easter is all about. Yay, Jesus!”
BATH TIME
Lay a dry washcloth on your child’s head, letting it fall just over the tops of their eyes. Say, “1…2…3…” and pull the washcloth away, as you say, “Jesus is alive!” Repeat this, encouraging your child to say, “1…2…3…Jesus is alive” with you.
